Bellator MMA has always had a knack for finding prospects to centre their divisions around. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet two of the promotion’s prospects looking to leave a memorable mark in 2019.
Steve Mowry
A professional since September 2016 and representing Hard Knocks 365, Steve Mowry holds a perfect 5-0 record comprised of three submissions and two knockouts. Prior to making his debut with Bellator MMA in 2018, Mowry competed with Titan Fighting Championship. He has secured a finish in all five of his victories as a professional. Mowry is currently 1-0 under the Bellator MMA banner. In his MMA debut at Titan FC 41, he submitted Marino Eatman via triangle choke in the third round. At Titan FC 45 Mowry knocked out Dustin Clements in the first round. Then in his third appearance with Titan Fighting Championship at Titan FC 47, he tapped out Frank Tate in round one via arm triangle choke. For his final outing with Titan Fighting Championship at Titan FC 49, Mowry defeated Said Sowma via TKO in the second round. In his debut outing with Bellator MMA at Bellator 205, he submitted Ben Moa in round one via keylock to earn his third submission victory as a professional. The win also extended Mowry’s unbeaten run to five to begin his professional career. At 5-0 this towering prospect has a unique arsenal that should evolve as he settles in to life in the professional ranks!
Veta Arteaga
A professional since February 2016 and representing Combat Fitness, Veta Arteaga holds a 5-2 record in seven career bouts as a professional comprised of three decisions, one submission and one knockout.
