The Renegade Rider featuring Cage Warriors fighter Jai Herbert

The Cage Warriors lightweight division has a stacked deck with many fighters having a chip on their shoulder and looking to prove a point. In today’s episode ofĀ Across The Pond,Ā you will meet a renegade rider looking for the trifecta at Cage Warriors 102 on March 2. A professional since March 2015 and representing Team Renegade, Jai Herbert holds a 7-1 record in eight career bouts as a professional comprised of five knockouts, one decision and one submission. Prior to making his debut appearance with Cage Warriors in 2018, Herbert competed with Full Contact Contender and BAMMA. He is currently 2-0 under the Cage Warriors banner.

In his MMA debut at Full Contact Contender 12, Herbert defeatedĀ Omid MohamadiĀ via TKO in the second round. He also defeatedĀ Martin SweeneyĀ via TKO in round two at Full Contact Contender 13. Then in his debut outing with BAMMA at BAMMA 23 Night of Champions, Herbert knocked outĀ Ben BennettĀ in the second round. At BAMMA 25 Champion versus Champion, he submittedĀ Tony MorganĀ via rear naked choke in round two. For his final outing with BAMMA at BAMMA 29 Herbert defeatedĀ Rick SelvarajahĀ via TKO in the second round.

In his debut appearance with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 94 that also marked the promotion’s debut on Belgian soil, he defeated Erdi KaratasĀ via unanimous decision. For his second outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 100 Herbert defeatedĀ Joe McColganĀ via TKO in the first round to earn back to back wins with Cage Warriors. The victory also earned Herbert his fifth knockout win as a professional. At Cage Warriors 102 on March 2, Herbert will look to make it three for three with Cage Warriors when he takes on submission specialist Steve O’ Keefe in a lightweight encounter that pits one of the division’s rising heavy hitters against a savvy veteran.
