A personal setback often leads to an even greater professional victory in the Mixed Martial Arts world. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet an aggressive barnstormer looking to crash the London homecoming at UFC On ESPN plus 5 on March 16. A professional since January 2015 and representing Factory X, Ian Heinisch owns a 12-1 record in 13 career bouts as a professional comprised of six decisions, four knockouts and two submissions. Heinisch earned a contract with the UFC on week seven of season two of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2018 and has also competed with Legacy Fighting Alliance.

In his MMA debut at SCL 40, he defeated Dante Florez via TKO in the first round. Heinisch defeated his next three opponents via decision that included victories over Kris Hocum and Zach Wells. Then at WSOF 29, he defeated Tyler Vogel via unanimous decision. Heinisch defeated his next two opponents in Hayward Charles and Jeremy Spelts. In the main event of LFA 10, he submitted Lucas Rota in the first round via scarf hold armlock. For his next outing with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 31, Heinsch knocked out Daniel Madrid in the second round. In his final appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance, he faced Gabriel Checco in the main event of LFA 39 and knocked him out in the first round.

At Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series 7, Heinisch faced Justin Sumter and knocked him out in round one to earn a contract with the UFC. At UFN 140 he defeated Brazil’s Cezar Ferreira via unanimous decision to earn his sixth decision victory as a professional. The win also extended his win streak to four. At UFC On ESPN plus 5 on March 16 in London, Heinisch will look to make it five in a row when he squares off with England’s Tom Breese in a middleweight encounter. Good luck Ian!
