Today, UFC® confirmed that Sweden’s Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson will take on American Anthony “Lionheart” Smith in Stockholm on June 1, at the Ericsson Globe, in the main event.
Alexander “The Mauler” Gustafsson (18-5; fighting out of Stockholm, Sweden), No. 2 ranked light heavyweight, will be looking to repeat previous hometown heroics having spectacularly defeated Glover Teixeria in Stockholm in 2017. Gustafsson recently fell just short to Jones “Bones” Jones at UFC 232: JONES vs GUSTAFSSON last December and will be determined to get back to winning ways in front of his home crowd.
No. 4 ranked light heavyweight Anthony “Lionheart” Smith (31-14; fighting out of Omaha, NE, USA), who has 17 TKO’s to his name, will be looking to upset the local crowd following his own hard-fought loss to Jones at UFC 235: JONES vs SMITH in Las Vegas on March 3. Despite this, Smith has been on a meteoric rise having won three in a row at 205 pounds and will be of confidence travelling to Stockholm.

Tickets to UFC FIGHT NIGHT®: GUSTAFSSON vs. SMITH go on general sale on Friday, April 5, via AXS. Fight Club members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets early on Wednesday, April 3, whilst those who registered their interest early in this event will gain access on Thursday, April 4.
