Fighters are often required to take their games on the road to test their ability to adapt in high stakes scenarios. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a giant slayer whose utter mastery at performance under the brightest lights makes him prime pickings to earn a crack at a coveted Cage Warriors golden belt. A professional since February 2016 and representing The MMA Academy Liverpool, Tim Barnett owns a 7-2-1 record in nine career bouts as a professional comprised of five knockouts, one submission one decision and a draw. Prior to making his debut appearance with Cage Warriors in 2018, he competed with several promotions in Europe including BAMMA. Barnett has managed to earn a finish in six of his seven professional victories.

In his MMA debut at ICE FC 11, he defeated Tyler John Thomas via TKO in the first round. Barnett submitted Thomas Wojtyna in the first round via rear naked choke at Full Contact Contender 16. Then at Tanko Fighting Championships 3, he defeated Onur Caglar via TKO in round one. At BAMMA 28, Barnett defeated Rhys McKee via TKO in the first round. For his next outing with BAMMA at BAMMA 29, Barnett knocked out Mario Saeed in round one.

At Cage Warriors 101 in Liverpool, he faced submission specialist Adam Ventre and defeated him via knockout in the second round to secure his first win under the Cage Warriors banner. The win also earned Barnett the fifth knockout victory of his professional career. In the main event of Cage Warriors 105, he faced another submission specialist in Sean Carter and defeated him via unanimous decision to earn his first decision victory as a professional and also earned back to back victories under the Cage Warriors banner in the process. Being no stranger to the bright lights and having scored a finish in six of his seven professional wins presents a crystal clear picture to Europe’s top lightweights that there is the fact a no-nonsense force to be reckoned with!
