Our neighbours to the north have always delivered in terms of MMA talents on the homegrown side like rising UFC bantamweight prospect Cole Smith. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to an icy enforcer looking to lay down the law in the featherweight division. A professional since February 2011 and representing Titan’s MMA, Gavin Tucker owns an 11-1 record in 12 career bouts as a professional comprised of five submissions, four knockouts and two decisions. Prior to making his debut appearance with the UFC in 2017, he competed with Extreme Cage Combat. Tucker has managed to earn a finish in nine of his 11 professional victories.

In his MMA debut at ECC 11 Redemption, he defeated Ryan Connor via unanimous decision. Tucker defeated his next three opponents that included wins over Michael Waugh and Christopher Corporon. Then at ECC 13 Armageddon, he submitted Jeremy Henry via rear-naked choke in the second round. Tucker defeated Robert Rende via TKO in round three at ECC 14 Warrior’s Soul. At ECC 15 Carnage, he faced Lyndon Whitlock and tapped him out in the third round via rear-naked choke. Tucker also defeated David Harris via TKO in the second round at ECC 22. For his final appearance with Extreme Cage Combat at ECC 25 he faced Chris Coggins and knocked him out in the first round.

In his debut appearance with the UFC at UFN 105, Tucker faced The Ultimate Fighter season 15 alumni Sam Sicilia and defeated him via unanimous decision to earn his fourth decision win as a professional and also picked up his first victory in the UFC in the process. At UFC 240 he faced Sung Woo Choi and submitted him in the third round via rear-naked choke. The win also earned Tucker the fifth submission victory of his professional career. At 11-1 with nine finishes, the featherweight division is about to endure a blast of frigid air from up north!
