Burns has competed with Titan Fighting Championship and ONE FC and has managed to score a finish in six of his eight wins as a professional. He was also featured on episode two of season four of Dana White’s Looking for a Fight.

In his MMA debut at Only Fight Championship, he submitted Saulo Eduardo da Silva in the first round via triangle armbar. Burns also tapped out Edward Kelly via rear-naked choke in the first round at ONE FC 13 Moment of Truth. Then at ONE FC 14 War of Nations, he defeated Harris Sarmiento via unanimous decision.
