The Irish blood runs deep in Cage Warriors lore with many Irishmen having put on the yellow gloves in the 108 event history of the promotion. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a saintly soldier of the almighty looking to bless his nation with good fortune from Neptune Stadium in Cork, Ireland at Cage Warriors 110 on November 9. A professional since December 2015 and representing Team Torres, Decky McAleenan owns a 5-3 record in eight career bouts as a professional comprised of three knockouts and two submissions. McAleenan has finished all five of his professional victories and has competed with various promotions throughout Europe including Headhunters FC, Cage Legacy FC Akuma FC and Cage Warriors.

In his debut appearance with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 80 in London, he faced Thomas Terdjman and went on to submit him via triangle choke in the second round to earn his first win under the banner of Cage Warriors. McAleenan defeated Alex Davidson via TKO in round two in the main event of Headhunters FC. Then at Cage Legacy 5, he faced Adam Gustab and knocked him out in the second round. McAleenan tapped out Niall Smith in round two via arm-triangle choke in the main event of Akuma FC 11 to pick up his second submission victory as a professional. He defeated France’s Julian Bouteix in the first round at Cage Legacy 8 to earn the third knockout victory of his professional career.

For his next outing with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 110 on November 9, McAleenan will face the unbeaten Jared Southwell in an affair at featherweight. Other Irish fighters that are slated to fight on Cage Warriors 110 will include BAMMA veteran Rhys McKee and the promotion’s top prospect at 170 pounds Ian Garry. Good luck Decky!
