Colosseum Promotions will be hosting the very first show at Greenock Town Hall that showcases MMA. On March 14th, they will be presenting Rumble On The Clyde – a combat sports show featuring highly entertaining, multi-discipline martial art bouts, including MMA, Boxing, Muay Thai and K1. This is set to be an incredible night full of exciting fights – there’s going to be some very talented athletes putting in an appearance, so prepare to be entertained and expect a night packed full of fun! With the venue having a capacity of over 500 people, Colosseum Promotions anticipate that the atmosphere on the night is going to be insane! This upcoming event is rather exciting, as there’s been a lot of different fight styles showcased at Greenock Town Hall in the past, including Wrestling – but never, has Greenock Town Hall witnessed MMA bouts.
That’s all about to change on March 14th! MMA bouts are usually fought in a cage – this time, the fighters will fight in the ring! Corey McLachlan is one of the fighters appearing on the show, and what an exciting prospect he is! Aged 18, Corey has already had over 140 Thai fights. Corey is predominately a Thai Boxer, but also trains and fights K1. Having fought all over the world representing Great Britain – Corey has Domestic, and European titles to his name. Fighting from the Griphouse Fight Team in Glasgow, Corey is the son of the current WBC European Champion – Keith McLachlan. Fans are looking forward to seeing what Corey brings to Rumble On The Clyde!
Also appearing on the card – Noah and Jonah Waddell. These fights in particular are highly anticipated, as both of these boys will be fighting for British titles. Noah and Jonah have a huge fan base, and receive a lot of well deserved support from their school. Jonah, the oldest of the two brothers, is a fantastic Boxer and a very technical fighter. Jonah took some time off last year, but he’s back with a bang! Fans are looking forward to his comeback, as Jonah is a very gifted athlete and is said to be ready to put on one hell of a show! Noah is on tour at the moment, fighting all over the U.K. Known for being a tough lad, who is all forward and no back – we are told Noah is 100% prepared for this fight, and can’t wait to get out there and show the Greenock Town Hall what he can do! Representing Colosseum and Griphouse, both the boys compete in Thai, K1 and Boxing – and are both European Ambassadors for the charity, Fight For Autism!
Also fighting for a British title, Maddie Mitchell, a local up and coming female fighter – Maddie is young, keen and she loves to compete. A highly skilled Thai Boxer, who is a ranked U.K Junior, Maddie is an outright star! Also a Fight For Autism Ambassador – Maddie has Autism herself, and Tourettes. Representing Griphouse in Glasgow, Maddie has competed all over the U.K and is known to hit like a truck! Colosseum Promotions are expecting big things from Maddie on the night
Greenock Town Hall is a one of a kind venue! The town hall dates back to the 1850s. Built using Italian architecture, Greenock Town Hall is breathtaking – inside and out! There‘s been many a great act appear at the hall over the years, and lots of Wrestling events that have taken place there – now this glorious hall is going to showcase of one of the fastest growing sports in the world, MMA!
