Practicality and the age-old survival of the fittest mantra are two of the MMA world’s tried and tested methods to make the seed of success grow and prosper into trees of fortitude. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to an eagle of the heartland ready to bring the rock chalk in Jayhawk with his talons of terror on the opposition at 135 pounds at 24 years old. A professional since June 2017 and representing Midwest Combat Academy, Jacob Thrall owns a 6-2-1 record in eight bouts as a professional comprised of four submissions, two knockouts and a draw. Prior to debuting with Legacy Fighting Alliance in September 2019 at LFA 76, Thrall fought for various regional promotions in the midwestern US including Shamrock FC. He has finished all six of his professional victories with all of them coming the full 15 minutes and is 1-0 with Legacy Fighting Alliance. Thrall has yet to go to the judges in his career as a professional mixed martial artist.
In his MMA debut at Carden Combat Sports 2, he took on Jordan Hernandez and defeated him via TKO in the first round. Thrall submitted Matt Murphy in round three via rear-naked choke in his debut outing with Shamrock FC at Shamrock FC 302. Then at Shamrock FC 304, he tapped out Dustin Kramer via rear-naked choke in the second round. Thrall also defeated Dillon Tolbert in round one at Shamrock FC 313. At KCC The Charity Brawl he submitted Nathen Gossens in the first round.
For his debut appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 76, he faced Eric Ellington and went on to tap him out in round one. The win also secured Thrall the fourth submission victory of his professional career along with his first win in LFA. With an impressive finish and youth on his side, this Jayhawk is soaring up and away!
