Across the Pond Profile: Unified MMA heavyweight champion Christian Larsen

Representing your home nation is one thing every and all mixed martial artists take great pride in. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a heavy-handed bulldozer of the north ready to plough his opponent six feet under the cold tundra with his spine chilling knockout power and leave it out of the hands of the judges at Unified MMA 40 on March 14 from the River Cree Resort and Casino. A professional since September 2016 and representing Shaved Bears MMA, Christian Larsen owns a 5-1 record in six professional bouts comprised of four knockouts and one submission. Larsen has spent the whole of his professional tenure with Unified MMA and has gone on to earn a finish in all five of those victories with none of those having yet made it to the judges or having made it past the second round. He is the current Unified MMA heavyweight champion.

In his MMA and promotional debut at Unified MMA 28, he submitted Dan Aymotte via armbar in the first round to pick up his first and only submission win as a professional thus far. Larsen also defeated Vukas Perez via TKO in the first round at Unified MMA 29. Then at Unified MMA 33 Resurgence, he took on Lee Mein and defeated him via TKO in the second round. Larsen defeated east coast submission specialist Tyler King via TKO in round one at Unified MMA 37.

For his next outing with Unified MMA at Unified MMA 38, he faced a familiar foe in Jared Kilkenny and managed to defeat him via TKO in the first round. The win also earned Larsen the fourth knockout victory of his professional career. At Unified MMA 40 on March 14 he will face fellow knockout artist Greyson Wells in his first defence of the Unified MMA heavyweight title. Good luck Christian!
