A professional mixed martial artist since October 2013 and representing BKK Fighters under Jack Mason, Emrah Sonmez owns an 11-2 record in 13 bouts comprised of six knockouts, three submissions and two decisions. Prior to his debut with Cage Warriors in November 2019 at Cage Warriors 111, Sonmez fought for Fightstar Championship, BCMMA and Fusion FC. He has earned a finish in nine out of his 11 victories.
At UCMMA 41, He defeated Ollie Mathis via split decision. Sonmez submitted his next two foes in Paul Kingdon at UCMMA 43 and Lukas Benias at UCMMA 44 respectively. Then at UCMMA 47, he defeated Mickey Millar via TKO in the first round. Sonmez also defeated Mitchell Head and Ben Deller Smith. At BCMMA 18 he faced Johnathan Gionne and defeated him via TKO in round one. Sonmez defeated Head for the second time via TKO in the first round in the main event of BCMMA 20. At Fightstar Championship 18 he defeated Keitano Fourniller via TKO in round one. Sonmez tapped out Jake Daley via Americana in the first round at Fusion Fighting Championship 31 to pick up his third submission win as a professional.
In his debut fight for Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 111, he took on submission specialist Daryl Golding and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. The win also secured Sonmez the second decision victory of his professional career along with his first win under the banner of Cage Warriors. at 11-2 with nine finishes this hungry wolf is just waiting for the silver moon to rise before the next hunt of horror can begin!
