Season number three of DWTNCS saw multiple bulls from Brazil crash the party in order to chase their UFC aspirations. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a snake of all-around danger whose determined gall spells nothing but trouble for future foes. A professional mixed martial artist since July 2014 and representing Jackson-Wink MMA, Antonio Arroyo owns a 9-3 record as a professional in 12 bouts comprised of four submissions, four knockouts, and one decision. Arroyo earned his UFC contract on week four of season three of DWTNCS in 2019. He also appeared on the Brazilian version of the show back in 2018 and has finished eight out of his nine wins as a pro-MMA fighter so far in his career with all eight of those finishes coming inside the distance and all but one of the nine wins overall having made it on to the scorecards.

In his MMA debut, Arroyo defeated Gabriel Batalha via TKO in the first round. He also defeated Pedro Henrique Quiroz and Antonio Ailton Borges da Silva.  Then, Arroyo tapped out Filipe Olivera Dos Santos via arm-triangle choke in the first round. He knocked out Trevor Carlson in round number one. Arroyo also knocked out Antonio Luiz Gomez Soares in the first round. He submitted Adriano Miranda da Silva in the first round via rear-naked choke, Arroyo defeated Diego Henrique da Silva via unanimous decision on the debut episode of DWTNCS Brazil to earn his first and only decision win as a pro thus far.

In the main event of DWTNCS week four of season three, he took on the east coast finisher Stephen Regman and tapped him out in the second round via arm-triangle choke. The win earned Arroyo the fourth submission victory of his professional career along with a contract from the UFC. On the ground or standing up, this serpent is just waiting in the grass for the perfect moment to strike with his poisonous fangs!
