Across the Pond profile UFC fighter Khama Worthy

Making it to the UFC is a memory that stays in a fighter’s mind until the end of their respective time as a mixed martial artist. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a mauler of metal looking to hammer home win number two in the UFC at UFC On ESPN 12 from the UFC Apex on July 27. A professional mixed martial artist since June 2012 and representing The Academy Pittsburgh MMA and Fitness, Khama Worthy owns a 15-6 professional record in 21 bouts comprised of nine knockouts, four decisions, and two submissions. Prior to debuting with the UFC at UFC 241 in August 2019, Worthy fought for multiple promotions throughout the United States including CES MMA. He has finished 11 of his 15 victories thus far in his tenure as a pro-MMA fighter. Worthy has earned one Performance of the Night bonus during his time under the UFC banner so far.

At Caged Fury 18, he defeated Victer Crenshaw via TKO in the third round. Worthy defeated Jason Willett and Francis Healy. Then at Pinnacle FC 5, he defeated Reggie Merriweather via unanimous decision. Worthy knocked out Jacob Butler in the first round. He defeated his next three opponents via TKO that included wins over Antonio Castillo Jr and Anthony Morgan. Worthy submitted Adrian Vilaca via rear-naked choke in round three. At Pinnacle FC 16 he defeated Michael Roberts via unanimous decision. Worthy defeated Brady Hovermale via TKO in the third round. He tapped out Tim Cho via rear-naked choke in round two at Pinnacle FC 18. Worthy defeated Joey Munoz via unanimous decision. He knocked out Adam Ward in the third round.

In his debut fight for the UFC at UFC 241, Worthy faced Devonte Smith and defeated him via TKO in round one to earn the ninth knockout victory of his professional career with his first UFC win and a Performance of the Night bonus. At UFC On ESPN 12 on July 27, he will tangle with Luis Pena in a lightweight affair. Good luck Khama!
