BRAVE Combat Federation’s third straight show in Sweden continued to showcase the best talent in Sweden today. The country has been the center of European MMA in recent weeks with the partnership between BRAVE CF and Bulldog Fight Nights empowering the local scene and giving a global platform for the athletes.
As was the case at the two previous events, Swedish fighters shone through and this time won all of their bouts. Starting with Andreas Gustafsson picking up the biggest win of his career in the co-main event. After bulldozing through his opposition in all of his fights, the undefeated “Bane” had to dig deep for one more stoppage victory. He showcased heart, determination, and focus to finally TKO a very tough Miro Jurkovic in the third round.
It was the sixth professional victory for Andreas in as many bouts and he has thrown himself in the mix at Middleweight for BRAVE CF with his gutsy performance.
Before that, Tobias Harila also picked up a monumental win, as he resisted the grappling of top veteran Rafael Macedo before hunting “The Butcher” down for the corner stoppage between the second and third rounds. “Bad Intention” improved to 7-1 in his pro career with his fifth straight victory and is now a name to be reckoned with in the Lightweight division.
In the card’s opening bout, Sahil “Prince” Siraj also displayed his full striking arsenal against a very game Davide La Torres, scoring with tough body kicks and straight lefts and resisting the takedown attempts by his opponent to score a unanimous decision win, the fifth in as many pro bouts for Siraj. He’s another dangerous name added to the Lightweight division.
Representing Brazil but training in Sweden, Felipe Lima also represented the structure of Swedish MMA as he went to wat with Farbod Irannejad, showcasing a slick guard and an overall impressive muay thai-based striking game, scoring with kicks, knees, and punches.
