When a relative unknown enters an MMA fight as an underdog that is hungry for a victory regardless of the cost be it moneywise or by some other foreseeable means, there is always going to be a us against the world mentality in the back of their mind when their head hits the pillow to drift off into dreamland.  In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a cougar of the mountains whose crushing claws make the taste of victory ever so sweet. A professional mixed martial artist since April 2018 and representing Mercenary Combat Academy, Kelly Clayton holds a 2-2 record in four bouts as a professional comprised of one submission and one knockout. Clayton fought for several promotions including Invicta Fighting Championships prior to making her debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance in September 2020 at LFA 91. She has finished both of her wins as a professional mixed martial artist thus far with each of those victories coming within the second round. Clayton is currently 1-0 under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance. She has yet to make it on to the scorecards during her career thus far as a pro-MMA fighter.

At Cagesport 58, she faced Gillian Noll and went on to defeat her via TKO in the second round to pick up her first knockout win as a professional. Clayton tapped out Florina Moeller in the first round via rear-naked choke in her lone appearance with Invicta Fighting Championships at Pheonix Rising 3.

Then in her promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 91, she submitted Hailey Cowan in the second round. The win earned Clayton the first submission victory of her professional career along with her first win under the LFA banner. It does not matter how you win the battle as long as the end result has a note of sweet victory when this mother lion goes out to hunt for her next meal!
