IMMAF Director of Regulatory Affair, Marc Goddard, said:
“I’m personally thrilled to bring this project to the fore. For more years than I can remember, the ring, as the centre piece of any MMA event, has always been at the forefront of my mind, and eyes! I urge you to take a look at the accompanying videos where I explain the origins, reasons and benefits of the IMMAF Fighting Area.”
IMMAF President Kerrith Brown said:
“The calibre of the MMA ring is fundamental to competitor safety, which is a driving motive of IMMAF’s. Anyone who has been in the sport a while will have their own horror stories that illustrate the perils of poorly made equipment. This is why, as part of our regulatory drive, IMMAF has taken the design and building of certified rings for its Championships in-house, drawing on the vast technical experience of our Regulatory Affairs Commission and global network of officials. We are proud to now be able offer this certified product for purchase to our National Federations and the wider MMA market, to again raise the safety standard across the sport.”
