As a pro-MMA fighter, your first appearance in a promotion doesn’t define the person you will become by the time you hang up the gloves. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a golden gate crusader aiming to soar sky-high in Legacy Fighting Alliance. A professional mixed martial artist since September 2017 and representing Team Quest, Ricky Furar holds a 5-2 record in seven bouts as a professional comprised of three knockouts and two decisions. Furar fought for several promotions including Bellator MMA prior to debuting with Legacy Fighting Alliance in June 2019 at LFA 69. He has gone on to earn a finish in three of his five victories in his career thus far as a professional mixed martial artist. Furar has made it on to the scorecards twice in his pro career. He is currently 1-1 under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance.
At California Cage Wars 2, he faced Leo Franklin and went on to defeat him via unanimous decision. Furar defeated Victor Rosas via unanimous decision in his debut appearance with Bellator MMA at Bellator 201 to pick up his second decision win as a professional. Then at California Cage Wars 10, he defeated Rich Bonafidini via TKO in the first round. For his second and final outing with Bellator MMA at Bellator 219, Furar defeated Roman Puga via TKO in round two to earn back to back wins with Bellator MMA.
In his second appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 92, he defeated Jacob Thrall via TKO in the third round. The victory earned Furar the third knockout win of his professional career. He also picked up his first win under the banner of Legacy Fighting Alliance in the process. A potent of iron-willed determination and no guts no glory mentality has this blacksmith of the golden gate forging his own pot of gold!
