Becoming a success in MMA will have the highs and lows of a roller coaster. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a mauling snowplow whose windswept power is showing foes that MMA is no easy street. A professional mixed martial artist since August 2011 and representing Joslin’s MMA, Ryan Dickson owns an 11-5 record in 16 professional bouts comprised of nine submissions and two knockouts. Dickson has finished all 11 of his victories in his career thus far as a professional mixed martial artist. Dickson has yet to make it on to the scorecards at any point in his tenure as a pro-MMA fighter so far.

In his MMA debut at Global Warriors FC 1 Uprising, he submitted Brett Biderman via armbar in the first round. Dickson tapped out Jason Graves and Josh Taverine. Then at SFS 5, he defeated Christopher St-Jean via TKO in the first round. Dickson submitted Bradt Dewsbry in round two via a rear-naked choke at SFS 7. He tapped out Advin Omic via rear-naked choke in the second round at HFC 3. At School Of Hard Knocks 35, Dickson submitted CJ Marsh via armbar in the second round. He also tapped out Avery McPhatter and Shawn Fitzsimmons. Dickson defeated Dave Mazany via TKO in the second round at Hard Knocks 38 to pick up his second knockout win as a professional.

He faced The Ultimate Fighter season 16 alumni Michael Hill at XFC 43 and tapped him out via rear-naked choke in the first round. The win earned Dickson the ninth submission victory of his professional career. Having finished all 11 of his wins, Dickson has earned a savage streak as a fighter who drills down deep for the finish at the slightest sign of a crack in the ice!
