Across The Pond Profile: UFC fighter Gloria De Paula

in the later seasons of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, we have seen a treasure trove of international talent turn the key on their UFC dreams. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a strawweight stinger whose sharpness has her prepared to deliver a venomous dose of reality across the division. A professional mixed martial artist since July 2017 and representing Chute Boxe Diego Lima, Gloria De Paula owns a 5-2 record in seven professional bouts comprised of three knockouts and two decisions. De Paula earned her contract from the UFC on week 10 during season four of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2020 and has finished three out of her five victories over the course of her journey as a pro-MMA fighter so far, with all three of those finishes coming inside the distance. She has gone to the scorecards twice during her time in the professional MMA ranks, winning unanimously across the board on those two occasions over a three-round period in the span of 15 minutes.

In her MMA debut, she defeated Thuany Fernandes via TKO in the first round. De Paula defeated Beatris Gomes via TKO in round three at Max Fight 20. She defeated Bruna Vargas via unanimous decision at MMA Experience 5 game edition. At Standout Fighting Tournament 16, De Paula defeated Rafaela Rodrigues via TKO in the third round to pick up her third knockout win as a professional.

At Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Week 10 of season four, she defeated Pauline Macias via unanimous decision. The victory earned De Paula the second decision win of her professional career. She also picked up a contract from the UFC in the process. With national pride and plenty of zip in her punishing style, De Paula is one hornet whose sting has foes turning white as a ghost!
