Former Bellator World Champion and UFC title challenger Rory MacDonald will make his PFL debut tonight as tops the bill against Curtis Millender in the main event. PFL is the first major MMA organization in which individual athletes compete in a regular season, post-season, and championship, rather than on a year-round basis. The champion of each weight class wins a $1 million prize at the end of the season.
MacDonald said this about joining PFL and fighting Millender: “The deciding factor on moving to PFL was the financial aspect of it, it’s the best contract of my career. I was also really intrigued by the format, PFL is growing and rising to the top echelon of promotion in this sport. Curtis is an excellent striker with a very dynamic kickboxing game, I’ll make sure to stay away from all his best options.”
