UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is called out by WWE champion Bobby Lashley

On paper, it appears to be a walkover for the real UFC champion against the ‘fake’ WWE champion (it’s scripted, not fake), but WWE champion Bobby Lashley has 17 MMA fights under his belt, 15 of which he has won.

Before his contract with Bellator expired in 2020, he competed with them. Although Lashley has never fought in the UFC, there is something intriguing about seeing what he can do against the best.

He is 44 years old, but he is such a physical specimen that you will never guess. Lashley, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs about 275 pounds, was still a challenge in the cage.

“I won some titles, but I was never completely 100% dedicated because I always wanted to come back to professional wrestling.” Bobby Lashley told Joe.co.uk during an interview.

Still, if the opportunity arose to face Ngannou, Lashley is not turning that down.

“He has a title; I have a title – we could do it in the ring or the cage… I don’t mind it. If this is calling him out, this is calling him out.” Lashley went on to say.

When Ngannou beat Stipe Miocic, arguably the greatest UFC heavyweight ever, at UFC 260, he became the UFC heavyweight champion.

The Cameroonian-born star has won all five of his previous fights by knockout, with four of them coming in the first round. He is an extremely dangerous person.

Before retiring from MMA, Lashley had an eight-fight winning streak, with a good even record of six knockouts, six submissions, and three decisions.

He won all five of his Bellator fights, including a first-round knockout to avenge his decision loss to James Thompson. His only other setback was a doctor’s cancellation.

Ngannou is expected to defend his heavyweight championship against Derrick Lewis in late August, and Jon Jones is lurking in his division now if Dana White can strike the right deal, but he doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to do so.

Many fans hope that former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar will return to challenge Lashley at SummerSlam after Lashley successfully defended his title against Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman WrestleMania Backlash.
