Across The Pond Profile: Invicta Fighting Championships fighter Josee Storts

The state of women’s MMA is taking a turn for the better thanks to Invicta FC’S network television debut on AXS TV. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a red river sledgehammer looking to drill the destruction home as she looks to create a sizeable cushion from the rest of the pack at flyweight. A professional mixed martial artist since June 2019 and representing Jackson-Wink MMA, Josee Storts owns an undefeated 3-0 professional record comprised of two submissions and one decision. Storts has finished two out of her three victories during her time in the professional ranks and is currently 2-0 under the banner of Invicta Fighting Championships, with one finish in two appearances. She has gone to the scorecards once in her career, winning via decision across the board in that lone instance. Both of Storts’s finishes during her time as a pro-MMA fighter have come within the first two rounds, with one first-round finish under her belt.

In her MMA debut at Walkout FC 14, she faced Ashlynn Kleinbeck and went on to submit her via triangle choke in the second round. Storts tapped out Helen Lucero in the first round via triangle armbar in her promotional debut with Invicta Fighting Championships at Pheonix Rising 2 to earn her second submission victory as a professional.

Then in her second appearance with Invicta Fighting Championships at Invicta FC 44 that marked the promotion’s network television debut on AXS TV, she defeated Maria Jose Garcia Favela via unanimous decision. The victory earned Storts the first decision win of her professional career. She also picked up back-to-back wins under the banner of Invicta Fighting Championships in the process. With two out of her three wins coming via tapout, Storts will drill you a grave six feet under the earth if you dare make a tactical mistake!
