Korean Zombie vs Dan Ige this weekend

A fight that has quietly slipped under the radar is now only a few days away. On June 19th at the UFC Apex Center #4 ranked featherweight “Korean Zombie” Chang Sung Jung takes on #8 ranked Dan Ige in the main event.

Both fighters are looking to get back into contention as The Korean Zombie hasn’t fought since October of 2020 which saw him drop a decision to title challenger Brian Ortega, prior to that fight he was riding a two-fight win streak that saw him TKO the likes of Renato Moicano and Frankie Edgar.

For Ige he most recently competed in March where he scored a quick 22 second knockout over Gavin Tucker, this was a rebound win after suffering a loss in 2020 that saw his 6 fight win streak to an end. Ige is looking to start another streak as he begins his ascension into contender status.

Both fighters are seasoned veterans that have competed under the pressure of being in the UFC spotlight for many years, not to mention Ige has some of the most technical boxing in his division mixed with The Korean Zombies ability to turn any fight into a slugfest and we have all the makings of a fight of the night. Chang Sung Jung was recently quoted as saying “If Dan wants a brawl, I’ll more than welcome that kind of fight”.
