UFC Set to Return to the United Kingdom!

UFC Fight Night: London looks to be the direction we’re heading in on September 4th 2021.

It appears that the much-awaited debut of Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett is already signed, despite the UFC having not yet officially confirmed it.

Luigi Vendramini looks to be the opponent, confirming Paddy will indeed be sticking at lightweight for his first outing in the big league.

The event will most likely be headlined by Darren Till, as he is set to take on dangerous knockout specialist Derek Brunson.

Leon Edward’s fight with Tyron Woodley was scheduled at the O2 the same week as the country went into its first lockdown. I am pretty sure the company will be looking to make up for that event not going ahead and therefore will want to put this event on at the O2 as well.

Both Till and Paddy appeared on an Instagram Live with Ariel Helwani and hinted that there were British fighters queuing up to be part of the event, so who do else will be on the card?

Tom Aspinall would be the first name I put forward for the main card. He needs a top-ten opponent now. Not only is he Till’s teammate but I feel the energy of the home crowd could push him to a huge win to propel himself towards the top five. Shamil Abdurakhimov is ranked seven, despite having not fought since 2019. Both he or Marcin Tybura could be a good challenge for Tom, both of which I think he can overcome.

Jack Shore is another fighter ready for a big challenge. The Welshman is three from three in the UFC and looks likely to be facing Said Nurgamedov (no relation to Khabib) who is 3-1. Jack could be pushing the top 15 with a win against the Russian.

Davey Grant, Mason Jones, Paul Craig, Lerone Murphy, Darren Stewart, Molly McCann, and the list keeps going. If they want to do something extra special, I hear Dan Hardy wouldn’t be totally against another fight?

Hopefully, we get to see them all! Who do you want to see in the featured fights on UFC Fight Night London?
