5 upcoming UFC bouts to look out for

There are so many huge main card bouts and headliners coming up that some of the exciting undercard fights can get overlooked. These are 5 upcoming fights that I think everyone should be on the lookout for.

Davey Grant vs Adrian Yanez

Taking place as the opening bout to the main card of UFC fight night: Vieira vs Tate, Grant vs Yanez has all the potential to be an absolute war. This will be Grant’s first fight back since his decision loss to Marlon Vera back in June of this year so he will be looking to get right back into that win column. Yanez however is looking to increase his already impressive win streak of 7, which has included 6 wins via KO, to 8 against what would certainly be his toughest fight to date. With just 5 decision wins between them, it is unlikely this fight sees the final horn. With Yanez’s high KO percentage vs Grant’s high submission percentage, it will be interesting to see where this fight ends up.

Josh Emmett vs Dan Ige

50k Ige, which pretty much says it all, steps back into the cage after his brutal back and forth decision loss against Chang Sung Jung and he faces a tough opponent in Josh Emmett. Emmett last fought back in June of 2020 in a ‘fight of the night’ winning performance against Shane Burgos that saw him come back from adversity in the first round to dominate the rest of the fight and knock Burgos down twice in the 3rd to score a unanimous decision victory. I don’t know who I would personally give the advantage to. Ige has certainly been the more active fighter, fighting 3 times since Emmett last stepped in the Octagon. However, his recent bouts have had mixed success. so we will have to see

Ryan Hall vs Darrick Minner

Now bear with me…I know Hall’s last performance was miles short of impressive, however, it is important to remember that this was Hall’s first fight back in 2 years against a guy on a 9 fight tear at the time. Hall is still a very exciting fighter with a very fan-friendly style, you only need to look back at his fight with Darren Elkins to see that. His opponent, Darrick Minner, doesn’t have the best record out there, but he is a vastly more experienced fighter with 38 fights at just 31 years of age. This fight will serve as a very good test for Hall to try to get himself back into that win column but you cannot count Minner out by a long shot, with impressive wins over Charles Rosa and T.J. Laramie

Terrance McKinney vs Faraes Siam

Both of these guys are coming off of wins on the same card, Adesanya vs Vettori 2, with McKinney making one of the most impressive debuts of the year with a 7 second KO over Matt Frevola. McKinney is an extremely well-rounded fighter riding a 4 fight win streak. All by KO and all in the first round, with only one of those fights getting out of the first minute. At only 27 he definitely has a huge amount of potential to go far. His opponent Fares Ziam is coming into his 4th bout in the UFC, riding a 2 fight win streak with both of those wins coming from tough fought decisions.

‘Khaos’ Williams vs Miguel Baeza

Baeza is coming off of his first-ever loss against a very tough Santiago Ponzanibio. before that he was undefeated at 10 and 0 with 8 of those wins coming via stoppage, including a huge KO win over the legendary Matt Brown. he has definitely shown he can hang with some of the top guys. Khaos Williams is no stranger to massive KO’s, with round 1 first minute wins over Alex Morono and Abdul Razak Alhassan. Both guys have huge KO power so it is going to be very interesting to see whose chin is able to hold up best.
