A professional mixed martial artist since December 2017 and representing 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu Buena Park, Kay Hansen holds a 7-4 record through 11 professional bouts comprised of four submissions, two knockouts, and one decision. Hansen fought for Invicta Fighting Championships prior to debuting with the UFC at UFC On ESPN 12 in June 2020. She has finished six out of her seven victories over the course of her journey thus far as a pro-MMA fighter. Hansen has gone to the scorecards a single time during her pro career. She is currently 1-1 under the UFC banner, with one finish under her belt for the promotion.
In her MMA debut at Invicta FC 26, she faced Emilee King and went on to tap her out in the first round via armbar. Hansen defeated Gabby Romero via TKO in round three at California Cage Wars 7 outdoor supershow. Then at Invicta FC 31, she defeated Helen Peralta via TKO in the third round. Hansen submitted Sharon Jacobson via armbar in round three at Invicta FC 33. At Invicta FC 37, she tapped out Nicole Caliari in the third round. Hansen defeated Liana Pirosin via unanimous decision at Invicta FC Pheonix rising 3 to earn her first decision win as a professional.
In her debut outing with the UFC at UFC On ESPN 12, she submitted Jinh Yu Frey via armbar in the third round. The win earned Hansen the fourth submission victory of her professional career. She also picked up win number one under the UFC banner in the process. At 22 years old with six finishes, Hansen’s skills are growing sharper with every swing of the sword!
