A Middleweight bout between UFC debutant Armen Petrosyan and Gregory Rodrigues is targeted for UFC Fight Night 202, February 26th, per HaySport Management (via instagram), and Cageside Press.
Fighting out of Yerevan, Armenia, Armen Petrosyan earned a deserved UFC contract through Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS), following a monstrous head kick KO of Kaloyan Kolev. The 31-year-old holds a 6-1 professional record, with all 6 victories by way of KO/TKO stoppage. Interestingly, despite fighting at Light Heavyweight on DWCS, Petrosyan will make his promotional debut at 185lbs; Petrosyan has fought professionally at Middleweight previously. Petrosyan enters UFC Fight Night 202 riding a two fight win-streak.
A formidable opponent, Gregory “Robocop” Rodrigues, fighting out of Deerfield Beach, Florida, holds a 2-0 UFC record. The Brazilian, born in Manaus, Amazonas, made his promotional debut at UFC Vegas 28 in 2021, earning a unanimous decision victory over Duško Todorović. The 29-year-old last fought at UFC Vegas 41, defeating Jun Yong Park via TKO. Rodrigues enters UFC Fight Night 202 riding a four fight win-streak.
