Across The Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighter Connor Hitchens

As the new year dawns, hope springs eternal in all parts of MMA’S wide world. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a lion of soaring sunlight ready to sear through opponents as the newest member of Cage Warriors signing den. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2019 and representing Reps MMA, Connor Hitchens owns a 5-1 record through six professional bouts comprised of three knockouts, one submission, and one decision. Hitchens has fought for several promotions over the course of his journey as a pro-MMA fighter so far including UK Fighting Championships and Evolution Of Combat. He has earned a finish in four out of his five victories during his time in the professional ranks. The majority of Hitchen’s wins during his career as a professional mixed martial artist thus far have come within the first two rounds, with two first-round finishes under his belt to go along with two-second round finishes. Hitchens has only gone to the scorecards a single time during his pro career, sweeping the scorecards across the board in that one and only instance.

In his MMA debut at UK Fighting Championships 9, he faced Jonas Troest and went on to defeat him via TKO in the second round. Hitchens defeated Mark Andrew via TKO in round one at UK Fighting Championships 10. Then at UK Fighting Championships 11, he defeated Nicolas Slim via TKO in the first round. Hitchens submitted Adam Gregory in the second round via rear-naked choke in the main event of Evolution Of Combat Fight Night 5.

At UK Fighting Championships 13, he defeated Gregory for the second time via unanimous decision. The victory earned Hitchens the first decision win of his professional career. At 5-1 with four finishes, this master of the pride lands has the claws of a champion that is determined to take charge and rule the roost with dominance!
