Joseph Morales returns at CW 133 where he will take on Sidemar Honorio in a flyweight bout at Dal Mar Arena on March 4th.
“Bopo” made his way to Cage Warriors last year after a stint in the UFC, beating Kevin Wirth by a judge’s decision at CW 126.
Morales, who has seven finishes, will be faced with Honorio, a 20 fight veteran.
On this latest addition to CW 133, Cage Warriors president, Graham Boylan, said: “This is a great fight for the fans.
“Morales is wanting to get back to the UFC and if he puts on performances like his last one, then that could well be on the cards for him down the line.
“Honorio is a tough test for any fighter though, he has shown his ability to finish fights and he has no problem going the distance.”
Morales’ stint in the UFC saw him take on current UFC Flyweight champ, Deiveson Figueiredo, where he came up just short
In ten wins, the UFC veteran has secured five submissions and has knocked out two of his opponents.
When asked about his latest upcoming bout, Morales simply told Cage Warriors: “I’m looking forward to it!”
Honorio is a well-traveled veteran, with the 13-7 fighter having competed across the United States, Israel, and Brazil.
Over the course of his career, Honorio has faced current UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling and has a win over current UFC prospect, Ludvik Sholinian
On the announcement of his Cage Warriors debut, Honorio said: “I’m very excited and motivated for this fight after having so many fights fall through due to the pandemic.
“I can’t wait to step in the cage again!”
