Max Rohskopf will make his third Cage Warriors appearance at CW 133 on March 4th as he takes on Erick Sanchez in a lightweight bout at Del Mar Arena in San Diego.
The UFC veteran has shown he is a force to be reckoned with in his previous two Cage Warriors bouts, gaining a TKO win over Jeff Creighton at CW 126 and a dominant decision win over Jordan Bailey last time out at CW 130.
Erick Sanchez will provide a new test for Rohskopf, with the Team Alpha Male member having shown finishing ability in his 10 wins with six stoppages.
On the latest update to CW 133, Cage Warriors president, Graham Boylan, said: “It’s great to have Max fighting with us again.
“He has shown himself to be an animal in that cage, but now it’s time to see whether Sanchez can tame the beast.
“I’m looking forward to this one, we’ve seen some great lightweight fights in Cage Warriors over the years and here is another.”
Rohskopf’s background in collegiate wrestling has been easy to spot in his Cage Warriors performances, with the NCAA Division I wrestler landing takedowns and holding position in both fights.
Entering his third bout with the promotion, Rohskopf said: “I really don’t know much about my opponent.
“My coach and manager said we have a fight so it’s that simple, we have a fight.
“My fans can expect a dominant performance and my haters can expect a dominant performance.
“Thank you Cage Warriors for working so hard to get me a fight. ”
This will be Sanchez’s first fight with Cage Warriors, but he does enter the cage as a well-travelled veteran, having fought across the United States in various promotions and has previously fought former CW title challenger, Julian Erosa.
Sanchez enters this bout on the back of a win, having forced his opponent in his last bout in August to submit in the second round.
When asked how it felt to be debuting for the promotion, Sanchez said: “Stylistically it’s a good match up!
“Fighting on Cage Warriors is a great opportunity and I’m excited to perform.
“Everyone watching can expect an entertaining fight from the beginning till the end”!
