A title fight will always add the biggest hype to a night of pure unadulterated organised violence in the cage. Evolution of Combat has done just what fight fans want to hear for EoC11. Seany Stewart will defend his title against Ashley Williams in a submission-only grappling match up at the Maryhill Community Halls in Glasgow.
Seany’s appearance will have BJJ fans scrabbling to purchase tickets for EoC’s 11th show to date. Last we saw Seany in action was back in September 2020 at Evolution of Combat 7 making short work of his opponent Gary Priestly. Blink and you would have missed the action, taking only 49 seconds of the very first round to submit Priestly via Rear-naked choke. Keeping the 70kg title firmly round the gifted black belt from Ireland’s waist.
Across the cage will be one of his biggest tests to date. 3x Polaris champion Ashley Williams, also a Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu will be looking to do what his predecessors have been unable to do and try to prise the title from his opponent hands in Glasgow. Fans last got to see Ashley in action back in November 2021 at Polaris 18. Adding the PPJJI Championship in what is a trio of victories with the organisation to date. Victorious via Split decision against a very troublesome opponent in Paulo Miyao.
Evolution of Combat has always brought the fight fans phenomenal match-ups to Glasgow, and with the addition of Stewart vs Williams, the night has just got that much more volatile.
