Undefeated UFC Bantamweight prospect Umar Nurmagomedov meets Brian Kelleher March 5th at UFC 272, per Brett Okamoto.

Umar Nurmagomedov made a sensational UFC debut at UFC Fight Island 8, 20th January 2021, earning a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus following a second-round rear-naked choke submission of Sergey Morozov. Holding a perfect 13-0 professional record, the 25-year-old has previously fought for the Professional Fighters League, claiming unanimous decision victories over Saidyokub Kakhramonov and Sidemar Honorio in 2018 and 2019 respectively. Nurmagomedov, the cousin of retired UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, enters UFC 272 with 3 rear-naked choke submissions from his last four fights.

Fighting out of Selden, New York, Brian ‘Boom’ Kelleher holds a 24-12 professional record. The 35-year-old made his promotional debut June 3rd 2017, with a first-round submission of Iuri Alcântara at UFC 212. Across thirteen UFC bouts, Kelleher has won five bonuses, including three ‘Performance of the Night’ bonuses, and two ‘Fight of the Night’ bonuses. Holding an 8-5 promotional record, Kelleher enters UFC 272 riding a two fight win-streak, most recently defeating Kevin Croom at UFC Vegas 46 via unanimous decision.
