Salah Ayuby 3-1-0 is an English amateur Mixed Martial Artist, currently competing in the Bantamweight Division. Representing Reps MMA. An amateur competitor since 2021, he has competed for Evolution of Combat and UKFC.

It’s a pleasure to speak to you again mate and thank you for taking the time to speak to me today Salah. And I’d also like to congratulate you on your recent fight announcement for the UKFC18 card. I hope fight camp is going well for you?

“Hi Aaron, It’s a pleasure also chatting with you. That’s right, I’m on the UKFC 18 card. My training camp is going fabulous, as you can expect.”

Last we saw you in action was back in October 2021 at Evolution of Combat 10, taking on Jamie Jackson in a submission-only grappling match in Morecambe, a chance to show your different levels of technique in the cage. Now the dust has settled and you’ve had time to reflect on your bout, what did you take from that great performance last year?

“Back in Oct 2021, Competing with Jamie at Evolution of Combat 10 was a challenge for me, that was my first submission-only grappling competition. Jamie was older and much more experienced than I imagined. My experience might, it brought the best out of me. For me this sport is ongoing and I can only say that with age I’ll improve and get better.”

It was quite the year for Reps MMA back in 2021. Including your performance, Aaron Aby made his return to the iconic York Hall at CW132. Working with such talented fighters at such a young age must be a huge confidence booster going into your upcoming wars?

“I have the best team mate’s, from existing fighters to upcoming new amateurs. My gym Rep’s has coincided in training together with Combat Performance Academy. From my gym, we’ve got fighter’s like Connor Hitchens, Aaron Aby, Corey Fry, Zach Fry and so on. We’ve got many talented fighter’s. I wouldn’t train anywhere else, this is the best gym-going, I’m not just saying this it’s a fact.”

March 12th you return to more familiar surroundings to the UKFC cage, taking on Joel McArdle of Sapphire MMA. This will be the young prospects amateur debut and gives little to go on in terms of research. Without giving too much away what steps have you been taking to make sure you walk out with your arm raised on the night?

“I’m looking forward to fighting on March 12th. Also looking forward to challenging Joel Mcardle. Another amateur prospect in my division. I can only say at the moment it’s going to be a great fight on a great day. I’m positive and looking forward to my next fight on UKFC 18.”

Last but not least do you have a message for the fans that will be in attendance and anybody you’d like to give a shout-out to?

“Thanks to all the fans for coming. And thanks to everyone for their support.”
