French Prospect Manon Fiorot meets Jennifer Maia at UFC Columbus

Manon ‘The Beast’ Fiorot had a stellar 2021, achieving a perfect 3-0 calendar year; after finishing Victoria Leonardo via second-round TKO at UFC Fight Island 8 for her promotional debut, Fiorot stopped Tabatha Ricci at UFC Vegas 28, before defeating Mayra Bueno Silva at UFC Vegas 40. Fighting out of Nice, France, the 32-year-old holds an 8-1 professional record that includes six TKO stoppages. Fiorot has never been stopped professionally, having only lost her professional debut to Leah McCourt via split decision. Fiorot enters UFC Columbus riding an eight fight win-streak.

Fighting out of Curitiba, Paraná, Brazilian Jennifer Maia holds a 19-8-1 professional record. Her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 133, July 14th 2018, preceded a 4-4 promotional record that notably includes a Women’s Flyweight Championship loss to Valentina Shevchenko. Seven of Maia’s eight UFC bouts have gone to the judges scorecards, with her ‘Performance of the Night’ winning armbar submission of Joanne Wood at UFC Vegas 5 her only fight to finish inside the distance. With victories over Alexis Davis, Roxanne Modafferi, and Jessica Eye, Maia enters UFC Columbus looking to return to winning form, having lost to Katlyn Chookagian at UFC Vegas 46 in her last appearance.
