A professional mixed martial artist since August 2018 and representing Brazilian Top Team Canada, Yohan Lainesse owns an undefeated 8-0 record comprised of six knockouts and two decisions. Lainesse earned his contract from the UFC on week 10 during the fourth season of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2021. He has also fought for several other promotions during his career as a pro-MMA fighter including TKO MMA and Cage Fury Fighting Championships. Lainesse has finished six out of his eight victories during his career in the professional ranks thus far.

In his MMA debut at TKO MMA Fight Night 1, he faced Yann Jacolin and went on to defeat him via TKO in the first round. Lainesse also defeated Sean Meade via TKO in round one at TKO MMA 45. He defeated Bertin Destcloux via unanimous decision at TKO MMA 47. Then in his promotional debut with Cage Fury Fighting Championships at CFFC 82, he defeated Connor Dixon via TKO in the first round. Lainesse knocked out Lirim Rufati in round one at CFFC 86. At CFFC 93, he defeated Troy Green via unanimous decision. Lainesse defeated Evan Cutts via TKO in the second round in the main event of CFFC 98.

in the co-main event of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Week 10 of season four, he knocked out Justin Burlinson in the first round. The win earned Lainesse the sixth knockout victory of his professional career. He also picked up a contract from the UFC in the process.
