A matchup between UFC Bantamweights Saidyokub Kakhramonov and Ronnie Lawrence is set for the UFC Fight Night event July 9th, per Iridium Sports Agency.

Stepping up on just four days notice, Saidyokub Kakhramonov made a tremendous promotional debut, defeating Trevin Jones via third round technical submission at UFC Vegas 34. Incredibly, Kakhramonov accepted the short-notice fight whilst in Uzbekistan; to put that into perspective, the distance between Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s Capital, and Las Vegas is over 7000 miles. Holding a 9-2 professional record that includes seven wins via stoppage (3 KO, 4 submission), the 26-year-old enters the bout July 9th riding a three fight win-streak. Following Makhmud Muradov and Liliya Shakirova, Saidyokub Kakhramonov is the third athlete to represent Uzbekistan in the UFC.

Ronnie ‘The Heat’ Lawrence earned a deserved UFC contract through Dana White’s Contender Series, following his unanimous decision victory over Jose Johnson; remarkably, Lawrence entered the bout with Johnson as a moderate underdog. Fighting out of Nashville, Tennessee, Lawrence made his promotional debut February 27th 2021, at UFC Vegas 20, defeating Vince Cachero via third-round TKO. The 29-year-old last fought at UFC 271, earning a unanimous decision victory over Leomana Martinez. Holding a professional record of 8-1, Lawrence enters the July 9th UFC Fight Night riding a five fight win-streak.
