Manuela ‘The Butcher’s Daughter’ Marconetto 2-1-0 is an Italian Professional Mixed Martial Artist currently competing in the Strawweight Division, representing Great Britain Top Team. A professional competitor since 2017. She has competed for Cage Warriors South East, The Golden Cage, Pallas Athena Women’s Fighting Championship, Combate Global And is due to make her debut for Centurion FC on July 2nd.

I’d like to kick things off by thanking you for taking the time to speak with me again Manuela and also to congratulate you on your recent fight announcement for Centurion FC.

I hope training has been going well in the build-up to your scheduled return to the cage.

2022 has been an explosive year of MMA so far, with so many phenomenal announcements being made left right and centre.

Centurion has added to the fireworks by announcing one of the biggest bouts of the calendar year so far.

You are set to take on one of the most notable Strawweights in SBG Ireland’s Danni McCormack. When getting the call did you jump at the chance to go centre stage with the Bellator standout?

“Yes, I think this is a good test and challenge for myself. Also, it’s a chance to step up on the mma scene.”

Both you and Danni are cogs in two of the most well-oiled machines in the mixed martial arts community. Both GBTT and SBG have produced some of the most gifted individuals to have entered the cage in recent years. What do you make of your opponent for your scheduled meeting on July 2nd?

“She’s tough and she has great stamina, great wrestling, so a good well rounded opponent.”

Your training regime has got to be one of the most intense and productive I’ve come to witness, always on the grind, always trying your utmost to be fight ready and have never backed down from a challenge.

When heading towards what could be one of your biggest tests to date, have you added to your already stacked arsenal with anything different when approaching your meeting with Danni?

“Tune in and Let’s see what’s gonna happen.”

Last we spoke back in February, spoke of your desire to one day take on Pallas Athena‘s current Strawweight champion Laura Fontoura. If successful in July, this could give you a perfect opportunity to fulfil your wish to potentially become #1 for the Canadian organisation.

would this be something you will be pushing for or have you got your sights set on other horizons for your future in the cage?

“To be honest, I’m open to any call and any great opportunity. so for now I’m not gonna be focusing just on one.”

Centurion FC: New Era is panning out to be quite the night of Mixed Martial Arts madness when they bring a band of warriors to what’s bound to be a sold-out Fort St Elmo in Malta. Other than your inclusion on the night are there any matchups in particular that you’re looking forward to witnessing?

“At the moment I’m just thinking about my bout. Let’s talk about them once I’m done with it’s over.”

I wish you all the best for July Manuela and I hope the rest of your training camp goes smoothly.

Last but not least do you have a message for the fans that will be in attendance and anybody you’d like to give a shout-out to?

“Don’t miss this fight because this is gonna be different!”
