Across The Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighter Lone’er Kavanagh

The English capital has been the sight of many Cage Warriors memories throughout their 139 event run with many alumni ending up in the big leagues. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a wrathful wasp ready to bring the sting as the promotion’s newest hornet at 125 pounds at Cage Warriors 141 on July 22. A professional mixed martial artist since March 2019 and representing GB Top Team under head coach Brad Pickett, Lone’er Kavanagh owns an undefeated 3-0 record comprised of two knockouts and one submission. Kavanagh has finished all three of his victories during his time in the professional ranks. He is currently 1-0 under the Cage Warriors banner, with one finish under his belt for the promotion. 100 percent of Kavanagh’s wins during his pro career have come inside the distance. He has yet to reach the scorecards at any point during his career as a professional mixed martial artist thus far. Kavanagh has a single first-round finish under his belt to go along with one second-round finish and one third-round finish.

In his MMA debut at Rise Of Champions 7, he took on Glody Matusiwa and managed to defeat him via TKO in the second round. Kavanagh submitted Danny Missin in round one at Fightstar Championship 19 to pick up his first submission win as a professional. Then in his promotional debut with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 134, he knocked out Ryan Morgan in the third round. The victory earned Kavanagh the second knockout win of his professional career. He also picked up win number one under the Cage Warriors banner in the process along with his third straight finish to begin his career.

For his second outing under the Cage Warriors banner at Cage Warriors 141 on July 22, he will face Ander Sanchez in an encounter at flyweight. Good luck Lone’er!
