Across The Pond Profile: UFC fighter Clayton Carpenter

Making it onto the UFC roster is the top validation of a fighter’s constant grind in the gym. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will meet a diamondback of sunlight ready to pull back the dark shroud and start the next chapter of his career as the promotion’s newest member of the flyweight division. A professional mixed martial artist since August 2019 and representing The MMA Lab under head coach John Crouch, Clayton Carpenter holds an undefeated 6-0 record comprised of two knockouts, two submissions, and two decisions. Carpenter secured his contract with the UFC on week three during season six of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in 2022. He has also fought for Legacy Fighting Alliance and has finished four out of his six victories over the course of his career as a pro-MMA fighter so far.

In his MMA debut at Iron Boy MMA 18, he submitted Efren Ramirez via rear-naked choke in the third round. Carpenter knocked out Maui Acantilado in round one at WFF 42. Then in his promotional debut with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 89, he defeated Manuel Medina via unanimous decision. Carpenter tapped out Nick Clem in the first round via kneebar in his second outing with the promotion at LFA 108. For his third and final appearance with Legacy Fighting Alliance at LFA 119, he knocked out Rodney Kealohi in round one.

At Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series week three of season six, he defeated Edgar Chairez via unanimous decision. The victory earned Carpenter the second decision win of his professional career. He also picked up a contract from the UFC and extended his unbeaten streak to six straight to begin his career in the professional ranks in the process. At 26 years young and diverse methods of attack, Carpenter is a polished prospect that is looking to etch his name in golden glory!
