Darren Till vs Dricus du Plessis targeted for UFC 282

The ‘Gorilla’ (18-4) is looking to make his way back to the cage after a year of inactivity when he potentially faces off against Dricus du Plessis (17-2) on December 10. The event is headlined by the light heavyweight title fight rematch between Jiri Prochazka vs Glover Teixeira.

The Liverpool native has been sidelined with a string of injuries that have taken their toll on the one-time contender. His last fight against Derek Brunson highlighted the wear and tear that Darren has put on his body, as his stamina and overall durability led to his 3rd round loss. Darren is 1-4 in his last 5 with the lone win coming against Kelvin Gastelum in 2019.

While he may not have been active fighting, Darren has been training extensively with his newfound teammate Khamzat Chimaev in Sweden while getting him prepared for his fights against Burns and now Diaz. We have yet to see Darren fight since forming the acclaimed ‘Smesh Bros’, so fans are more than ready to see what he has picked up.

His opponent is riding a 5-fight win streak (3-0 in UFC) and has picked up his biggest win to date as he beat Brad Tavares in July. The South African prospect has shown that he possesses heavy hands and can put you out as evidenced by his first 2 fights.
