Across The Pond Profile: Oktagon MMA fighter Tayo Odunjo

Mixed Martial Arts is a sport where the hand of inclusion is always extended to those who seize the opportunity with nothing to lose and everything to gain. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a punisher of hardened intent ready to rough the opposition up and cast the first stone in Oktagon MMA. A professional mixed martial artist since October 2018 and representing Team Rough House, Tayo Odunjo holds a 4-2 record through six bouts comprised of three knockouts and one submission. Odunjo has fought for numerous organizations over the course  of his career including Contenders and PFL MMA in addition to MTK MMA and Rush Fight Club. He has finished 100 percent of his victories during his career as a professional MMA fighter and has yet to go to the scorecards at any point thus far. All four of Odunjo’s wins during his tenure as a professional mixed martial artist have come inside the distance. Odunjo has two first-round finishes under his belt to go along with a single second-round finish and one third-round finish in terms of professional experience so far in his six appearances as a pro.

In his MMA debut at MTK MMA 4, Odunjo submitted Jahreau Sheppard in the first round via triangle choke to earn his first submission win as a professional. He defeated Jaz Singh via TKO in round one. Then at Contenders 31, Odunjo knocked out Quinten De Vaught in the second round.

At Fight Club Rush 10, he knocked out Alejandro Toutparfait in round three. The victory earned Odunjo the third knockout win of his professional career. He also maintained his 100 percent finishing rate in the process. With the power to deliver aggressive action, Oktagon MMA have found themselves a firecracker with a lit fuse primed for an explosive tour of blazing gore!
