3-time IMMAF Continental gold medallist, Shamil Gaziev (Bahrain) will feature on the highly-anticipated BRAVE CF 69 event, which will take place following the culmination of the 2022 IMMAF World Championships.

The International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF), the Serbian MMA Federation and BRAVE Combat Federation present IMMAF World Championships Week and the Serbia BRAVE International Combat Week 2023 between 11-18 February in Belgrade, Serbia.

The eight-day spectacle will provide a full experience in MMA, with a busy schedule that features the 2022 IMMAF World Championships, IMMAF Certification Courses, the IMMAF Amateur MMA Awards and more. BRAVE CF 69 will close out the week of action on February 18 in the Stark Arena.

IMMAF Alumni, Gaziev will face Darko Stosic in the Heavyweight division in a bout that promises to be the co-main event of BRAVE CF 69.

Holder of an undefeated professional record (9-0), this is Gaziev’s second outing in a BRAVE CF event. In his debut, the fighter impressed MMA fans with a second-round KO that got a nomination for 2022 KO of The Year at the BRAVE CF end-of-year awards.

The outstanding performance is a result of the hard work put into his near-perfect career in IMMAF´s events in 2019. In the amateur scene, he became champion in multiple competitions, including the European, African, and Asian championships. At the 2019 IMMAF World Championships, Gaziev earned a bronze medal.

Ahead of his highly anticipated bout, Gaziev said:

“I am happy to be part of a BRAVE CF/IMMAF fight week again. It was a great experience in the same week in Bahrain. At that time, I was an amateur, and now I’m fighting as a professional in the BRAVE CF co-main event against a Serbian superstar. It’s another opportunity for me to prove that I’m the best heavyweight in the World.

“Travelling to different parts of the World and winning continental championships. The European Championships in Italy, Asian Championships in Thailand, and African Championships in South Africa. This is what IMMAF is all about.

“My opinion is that the level of opponents in IMMAF was higher than my opponents in my professional career. After my IMMAF experience, I feel confident to fight any opponent.”
