Across The Pond Profile: UFC fighter Francis Marshall

Youth is often the name of the game whenever a division requires a fresh infusion of young hunger via Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a tiger of the burning torch ready to send the featherweight division a burning message of arrival as the latest graduate of the show’s sixth season. A professional mixed martial artist since November 2019 and representing Pellegrino Mixed Martial Arts, Francis Marshall owns an undefeated 7-0 record comprised of four submissions, one knockout, and two decisions. Marshall secured his contract from the UFC during the second week of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Season six in 2022. He fought for several organizations including Ring Of Combat prior to debuting with the UFC at UFC On ESPN 42 in December 2022. The majority of Marshall’s wins over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter have come inside the distance. Marshall has finished five out of his seven victories during his time in the professional ranks. He is 1-0 with the UFC with one finish under his belt for the organization.

In his MMA debut at Maverick MMA 15, he submitted Keith Forant via rear-naked choke in round three. Marshall also tapped out his next two opponents in Mike Taylor and Jude McNicol. Then at Gulf Coast MMA 11, he defeated Rey Trujillo via unanimous decision. Marshall submitted Mike Lawrence via rear-naked choke in the third round at Ring Of Combat 75. At Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series week two of season six he defeated Connor Matthews via unanimous decision to earn his second decision win as a professional in addition to a UFC contract.

At UFC On ESPN 42, Marshall knocked out Marcelo Rojo in the second round. The win earned Marshall the first knockout victory of his professional career. He also extended his undefeated streak to seven in the process. At 23 years old, Marshall is one Jersey devil that opponents do not want to make a deal with!
