Across The Pond Profile: Cage Warriors fighter Kyle McClurkin

In today’s episode of¬†Across The Pond,¬†you will meet a lion molded in the fires of national freedom ready to sever the chains of servitude at Cage Warriors 153 on April 29 in a evening chalked full of some of the promotion’s leading Irishmen. A professional mixed martial artist since February 2017 and representing Fight Academy Ireland, Kyle McClurkin¬†owns a 3-2 record through five contests with all three of his wins as a professional MMA fighter coming via technical knockout. McClurkin fought for several organizations including Cage Conflict and BAMMA prior to debuting with Cage Warriors at Cage Warriors 116 in September 2020. He has only made it past the opening round a single time during his time in the professional ranks with three first-round finishes under his belt to show for it. The majority of his victories over the course of his career have come inside the opening round. McClurkin has three finishes under his belt in five appearances during his career as a professional mixed martial artist thus far with a 100 percent finishing rate to show for it. He has also fought for Akuma Fighting Championship.

At Akuma Fighting Championship 12, he faced¬†Diarmuld O’ Buachalla¬†and went on to knock him out in round one. McClurkin defeated Cathal Manning¬†via technical knockout in the first round at Cage Conflict 1. Then at Cage Conflict 3 Unrivaled, he defeated¬†Nikolata Zlatev¬†via TKO in round one. The victory earned McClurkin the third knockout win of his professional career. He also picked up his third first-round finish in the process.

For outing number two with Cage Warriors on April 29 at Cage Warriors 153, he will take on Owain Williams in an encounter at middleweight. Good luck Kyle!
