Across The Pond Profile: Tristan Overvig

Prospects often shine the brightest when everything is clicking on all cylinders even when the circumstances are at their roughest. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a thoroughbred of the rails whose finishing power has the opposition jumping the tracks no matter what the size of the spotlight. A professional mixed martial artist since February 2022 and representing Pedigo Submission Fighting, Tristan Overvig owns a 5-1 record through six bouts comprised of three submissions and two knockouts. Overvig has fought for several organizations over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter including Legacy Fighting Alliance and Cage Of Honor. He has finished all five of his victories during his time in the professional ranks, with 100 percent of those wins coming inside the distance. Overvig has five first-round finishes under his belt in six appearances during his career as a professional mixed martial artist thus far.

In his MMA debut at Nemesis Fighting Alliance Nemesis 9, he faced William Sears and went on to knock him out in round one. Overvig defeated Justin Reeser via technical knockout in the first round at Cage Of Honor 85 to earn his second knockout win as a professional. He submitted Mike Johnson in round one via rear-naked choke at Cage Of Honor 86. Then in the main event of Cage Of Honor 87, Overvig tapped out Anthony Garrett via armbar in the first round.

For his second appearance under the Legacy Fighting Alliance banner on the preliminary card of LFA 153, he submitted Brandon Johnson in round one via rear-naked choke. The victory earned Overvig the third submission win of his professional career in addition to maintaining his 100 percent finish rate. He also picked up his first win under the LFA banner in the process. Making a mistake against Overvig could mean a one-way trip to the scrap yard!
