The continent’s most-watched sports league starts its year with a jaw-dropping card of combat featuring two stunning title fights. British tabloid sensation Alice Ardelean returns to the City of Gold vying for the coveted women’s strawweight belt against Cape Town’s ferociously-determined Jessica Mouneimne to kick-off what promises to be a bumper year for women’s MMA in Africa.
The co-main event will witness Zimbabwe’s electrifying, defending 135lb champion, Nicholas Hwende, battling Potchefstroom’s enigmatic veteran Roevan de Beer, who is gifted a rare opportunity of a title shot courtesy of a late training injury suffered by the number one contender, Musa Sethwape.
