Cage Warriors 149 results

Wilson Reis proved once again that age is just a number as he secured a third-round submission win over MMA veteran Johnny Campbell in our first main event of 2023 at CW 149.

Blake Perry was the first fighter of the year to enter the cage as he debuted with an entertaining win over Joshua Nakagawa.

A lightweight bout that was to follow fell through just moments before home favourite Alex Trinidad was set to make the walk as he was forced to withdraw due to illness against Alberto Romo.

Fight of the night was all but secured when Roberto Hernandez and John De Jesus clashed in a featherweight bout that brought fireworks throughout.

It was ‘Green Light’ who moved forward in the division as he edged a split decision over his rival.

In the co-main event, Jamey Lynch put on a clinic as he went the distance with a dominant performance to return to winning ways against Georgii Eivas.

While Damon Wilson also got back on track with a hard-fought victory over Shawn Johnson.

Reis raised the roof off of Sycuan Casino Resort in the main event as he cashed in his biggest win in the yellow gloves versus Campbell.

The 38-year-old overcame some early pressure from his opponent to take over the second and third rounds before putting away his opponent with a rear-naked choke sending the California fans wild.
