As if the flavours of the steaming BRAVE CF 70 pot are not hot enough, former BRAVE Combat Federation veteran Rolando Dy spiced things up when he clapped back at Mohammed “Sher-e-Hind” Farhad following the Indian star’s recent outburst and criticism toward Dy’s fighter, Ruel “Bagsik” Panales.
Farhad and the Philippines’ Panales will throw down at BRAVE CF’s second trip to Ljubljana, Slovenia, on April 23 in their much-anticipated rematch following a “No Contest” at BRAVE CF 66 in Bali, Indonesia last year. The Bantamweight bout ended prematurely in the second round after Farhad landed an unintentional kick to Panales’s groin, forcing BRAVE CF officials to end the proceedings.
In the post-fight interview, Farhad went hard at Panales and his coach/mentor Dy for allegedly taking the easy route and using the incident as an excuse to get out of the fight “because they both knew that Ruel was getting beaten”. With just over a month to BRAVE CF’s 20th European event – the BRAVE CF 66 post-fight interview footage showcasing a disgruntled Farhad went viral on the BRAVE CF social media platforms. It caused quite a stir, particularly in the Philippines, as it was not well-received by Dy, who had a mouthful.
“You are stinky as s**t, Farhad. You will get mauled by a Flyweight. See you in Slovenia,” said Dy, referring to Panales, who has four professional wins at 125 pounds.
“You got outwrestled and outstruck. You never connected any significant strikes or takedowns in that fight. And you think we took the easy route? You kicked the groin thrice. That was all your fault. You took the easy route by cheating,” continued Dy, before warning the veteran who aims to become the first-ever Indian BRAVE CF champion.
“I can’t wait to see you gasping for air and bleeding, Farhad (…) You’re f***ing mediocre. You can’t even beat a Flyweight with two years of experience. Sit down,” added Dy.
BRAVE CF 70 will be the promotion’s second trip to Slovenia in just over three years after BRAVE CF 34 took place in January 2020. BRAVE CF 70 – co-promoted with WFC – will be headlined by Marko Drmonjic and Erko Jun, who will compete in a Light Heavyweight bout.
