Across The Pond Profile: UFC fighter Nick Fiore

Even the best of the best has gotten hit by the dreaded UFC debut jitters when they receive the call that all fighters crave weather coming in on short notice as a replacement due to an injury or with a complete camp. In today’s episode of Across The Pond, you will be introduced to a cannonball of cold wrath ready to send shivers down the spine of the MMA major leagues with the full force of a northeastern blizzard. A professional mixed martial artist since January 2020 and representing NE Cartel, Nick Fiore holds a 6-1 record through seven fights comprised of four knockouts and two submissions. Fiore fought for CES MMA and Combat Zone prior to debuting with the UFC at UFC On ESPN Plus 75 in January 2023. All six of his victories over the course of his career as a professional MMA fighter have come inside the opening round. Fiore has a six for six finishing rate in seven appearances so far.

In his MMA debut at Combat Zone 73 Resolution, he submitted Jay Ellis via rear-naked choke in the first round. Fiore defeated Ellis for the second time via technical knockout in round one at CES MMA 63. Then at Combat Zone 74 Now or Never, he tapped out Jerome Mickle in round one via triangle choke. Fiore submitted Andre Borges via rear-naked choke in the first round at Combat Zone 75. He tapped out George Sheppard in the co-main event of Combat Zone 77 via rear-naked choke in round one.

At Combat Zone 78, Fiore defeated Stephen Stengel via technical knockout in the first round. The win earned Fiore the second knockout victory of his professional career. With a 100 percent finishing rate. Fiore is the finisher that could breathe fresh air into one of the richest divisions in terms of talent around the world over at 155 pounds at the young age of 25!
